In a time when many in our community are struggling, it’s important to come together and support one another. We are a group of juniors at Colonia High School that decided we wanted to give back. We created Colonia Cares as a way for the community to help the community. We will be selling t-shirts and lawn signs to raise funds and purchase gift cards from local, struggling businesses and in turn donate those gift cards to a local food bank and the Woodbridge Social Services to help our Colonia families in need. We like to think of it as the community helping the community. With your support we can help those that need it most. Let’s come together as one family and make a difference!
Colonia Cares was created out of the desire to help the Colonia Community as we support each other get through this pandemic health crisis.
Colonia High School juniors Harrison Brindley, Emily Christie, Jordan Derkack, Mia Kruysman, Kerri Lishak, Emily Melendez, Nate Manente, Victor Perosi, Antonia Pierce, Jack Reilly, and Jose Ribeiro wanted to help their community and created this site so that all our Colonia residence could support the community!
On May 16th, we invite everyone to participate in #ColoniaCaresDay. Take a picture with your Colonia Cares gear and post it to social media using the hashtag #ColoniaCaresDay !
